Your video is out of date and I'm REALLY struggling to get this to work. WiinUSoft says it's connected and makes it rumble but it doesn't actually register as an xinput pad in any application. WiinUPro just refuses to do anything in either 64 bit or 32 bit application, screenshot is from the 64 bit one. I've followed your video and gotten no actual results, and I'm honestly at wits' end with this. What do I do? Where do I go from here?
Oh I uh... Got it working in WiinUPro by uh, deleting the config files that had been generated because they were blocking the connection from setting up correctly? And now it's all working perfectly fine.
Huh. I don't get it but I've learned to take my wins. Sorry to come in here. Feel free to delete the thread or something, I would if I could.
Anyone who comes in here: Clear the Config folder if you're having trouble connecting in WiinUPro, at least the prefs.config file.
Whoops that only worked once and stopped working the moment I put my computer to sleep and now I can't get it to pair properly again.
I get that this is a one-man project and all but dude, Justin. Having to go in and re-pair and re-setup every time I wake up my computer, especially when the process for doing so is as difficult and opaque and unresponsive as it has been since Microsoft decided to make their Bluetooth stack work less...
This isn't a tenable solution. If I have to spend an hour trying to get my controller to pair, it's not worth using.
