When the joy cons are paired as a single controller, games like Tales of Berseria and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will still treat each joy con as a separate device, in addition to the xinput Xbox360 controller. Those games think I have three devices connected at the same time, but they always show the available players as player 1 and player 2. In their input settings it always show two Bluetooth HID Devices and the Xbox 360 controller.
How can I make it so the games only see the Xbox 360 controller?
I haven't figured out a way yet. I feel like it is something Windows needs to allow. It used to allow a program to exclusively use a device (like it still does for the camera) but now it prohibits that behavior.
